DCist Exposed Photo Exhibit = DC Love

Opening night of DCist exposed photo show

I attended the DCist exposed photography exhibit opening party last night. It was pretty illustrious. The ambiance was hipsteresque, which I LOVED. The exhibit features a collection of photos by DC locals. All photos pertain to DC and they are quite marvelous. It was nice to see captured instances from all over DC. The event itself was great – lots of people, drinks, and great music (the DJ was amazing).

The exhibit will last until March 21st at Long View Gallery. Photos are for sale. Check it!

Tonight…Rock & Roll Hotel

DJs Keenan and Smudge spin house, retro rock tunes, electro, Brazilian - anything that gets a crowd moving. On the last Friday of the month, they set a hip vibe at the Rock & Roll Hotel’s upstairs bar with music that’s great for dancing or just hanging out. Drink specials include a beer and a shot of whiskey for $6.

Brazilian? Retro-rock? I’m there!

A city girl’s #snomageddon survival kit

Last night I was at the Phillips Collection for Phillips After 5. I was sipping on my glass of wine, then champagne, when one of my friends abruptly interjected with “WE HAVE TO GO! We need groceries…24 inches of snow!”  Following her lead, I ran over to the store and put together a survival kit. I thought I’d share it with you, and if you haven’t gone shopping for this blizzard, go now and take my list…

Snomageddon Survival Kit

1. Coke Zero

2. Chocolate Milk / Hot Chocolate

3. Vogue & Nyoln

4. Nail Polish (Sally Hansen’s Pat on the Black)

5. Carrs Crackers

6. Pride & Prejudice (movie)

7. Eat Pray Love (book)

8. Grey Goose Vodka

9. Archipelago Mint candle

You should also have Beach House, Devendra Banhart, & Vampire Weekend playing in the background.

Voila! And that’s how you survive snomageddon! ;-) Stay Warm!

Anything else we should add to the list?
